What is a Histogram Workshop

What is a Histogram?

We were sitting around the Playground the other day, tossing around ideas for some new workshops, ones that we have not had as of yet.  One of the questions that seemed to keep coming up in our notes from previous workshops was “What is a Histogram?”  Seems that the histogram is a bit mysterious not only to the budding photographer but also to some seasoned ones as well.  To kick off, or should I say, wrap up summer we decided to throw out a one-day workshop dedicated to taking the mystery out of the histogram.  Bryan Alberstat, one of our photographer extraordinaries will be leading this hands-on and informative workshop on August 14, 2010.  All the details can be found here.

Not to take away from the histogram but I wanted to let everyone know that … YES, we are working on an exciting fall/winter agenda.  You have been passing us notes throughout the summer and we are definitely listening.  I have to apologize for our absence during the summer.  It seems our instructors, when they were not shooting projects for clients, were trying to escape the summer fog and actually enjoy the summer with family and friends.  As well we went overseas to sit in on a food photography session with the talented Tim Clinch.  We will be helping promote more of his workshops in the next few months.  Stay tuned for some really fun things planned for the upcoming months!

To keep up-to-date you can follow us on Twitter, FaceBook, and/or sign up for our newsletter which will launch this fall!  As always we look forward to playing with you over in the Playground!
